I recently got an email from Urban Daddy telling me about a cool new smart phone technology called Gift Rocket. It’s really easy to use. It is basically an online gift card service. You put in your favorite bar or restaurant in your respective city, your friend’s email address, how much money you want to send them, a note like Happy Birthday, and hit send. It’s that easy. They have a cool little graphical representation on their website showing a monkey using it. To redeem your Gift Rocket on your smart phone you simply pull up the email you get from PayPal, you put the funds where you would like to use them, and off you go. If you don’t have a PayPal account, PayPal will auto-create one for you on the fly. Here is their FAQ section to learn more.
